Fathers day
Today I think that Scott gave Randy th best gift of all. Randy asked Scott to go get him a soda out of the fridge. and off scott ran to the fridge and came back with two sodas, one for each of us. Randy was so proud of his little man. One week and we will be in Tampa.

Swim Lessons
We started swim lessons today, and I had totally prepared myself for Scott to be the kid that hated it. But I was wrong, he loved it, almost to much. We got in and they had us blow bubbles, Scott more just dunked his face underwater. Then we practiced floating on our back and tummy, Scott kept flipping and laughing so loud. Then it came time to jump from the edge, I was sure that Scott would not do it.Oh no he was crazy he would jump before I could even get back. The instructor came over and said let him go underwater, so I did, and he came up laughing every time. I not sure why, but he thought it was really funny to put his face in the water. So when class was over, Scott had a major meltdown about getting out of the pool. But we go M-TH for 2 weeks, so when we come to Tampa he should be a little fish. Now I am afraid that he has no fear of the water, a couple of times he tried to push me away, not sure what he was going to do.

HOLY COW!!!!
So Randy decided that we would check out a few of the local state parks. So off we went we drove to the first one, where there was a "lake" (it looked like a pond), it also looked like a Mexican refugee camp. Randy said we would go to the beach (that was their words) and then there was a little trail that we could walk on. So I thought beach and wore flip flops. But this "little trail" was a bit intense with flip flops, a dog and a 20 month old. So I suck it up and go. Well Scott and I turn the corner (Buddha and Randy were ahead) and all I see is a huge dead cow about a foot from the trail. For a second I think that it is a hippo (I know,I know that they don't live in the area), so I decide that we are turning around and going back.(i you ask Randy I was a bit dramatic) So we get back to the car and head to state park number 2
We drive for about an hour, and actually end up at a real lake, but Randy was to cheap to pay the entrance fee so we just looked at it from the edge of the mountain. Then Randy found this "shortcut" it was this a rocky road for 14 miles at 10 mph. The last 5 miles was so scary, the road was so narrow and there was no guard rail. Randy said if another car came that they would have to go on the edge, we were not. I don't think that I have every seen Randy so nervous. The funny part was how many boarder patrol cars and cops we passed. At one point Randy said that we were only one mile from Mexico. So we finally made back home, safe and sound!!!!

"Manning up"
Scott had to have his 18 month well baby check up today. I know he is 20 months and he had his well baby at Bragg, but he couldn't get his shot. So we had to redo the 18month check up because Bragg doctors can't authorize shots at Hucuhca. So we went he is 36 pounds and 36 inches tall, which of course puts him off the charts. So we then went to get his shots, he had to get 2 and he made a small whimper and then was up running. The nurse was like wow and asked if he could have a lollipop. He wanted to make Grandpa Randy proud and "man up".
