Fathers day
Today I think that Scott gave Randy th best gift of all. Randy asked Scott to go get him a soda out of the fridge. and off scott ran to the fridge and came back with two sodas, one for each of us. Randy was so proud of his little man. One week and we will be in Tampa.

Swim Lessons
We started swim lessons today, and I had totally prepared myself for Scott to be the kid that hated it. But I was wrong, he loved it, almost to much. We got in and they had us blow bubbles, Scott more just dunked his face underwater. Then we practiced floating on our back and tummy, Scott kept flipping and laughing so loud. Then it came time to jump from the edge, I was sure that Scott would not do it.Oh no he was crazy he would jump before I could even get back. The instructor came over and said let him go underwater, so I did, and he came up laughing every time. I not sure why, but he thought it was really funny to put his face in the water. So when class was over, Scott had a major meltdown about getting out of the pool. But we go M-TH for 2 weeks, so when we come to Tampa he should be a little fish. Now I am afraid that he has no fear of the water, a couple of times he tried to push me away, not sure what he was going to do.

HOLY COW!!!!
So Randy decided that we would check out a few of the local state parks. So off we went we drove to the first one, where there was a "lake" (it looked like a pond), it also looked like a Mexican refugee camp. Randy said we would go to the beach (that was their words) and then there was a little trail that we could walk on. So I thought beach and wore flip flops. But this "little trail" was a bit intense with flip flops, a dog and a 20 month old. So I suck it up and go. Well Scott and I turn the corner (Buddha and Randy were ahead) and all I see is a huge dead cow about a foot from the trail. For a second I think that it is a hippo (I know,I know that they don't live in the area), so I decide that we are turning around and going back.(i you ask Randy I was a bit dramatic) So we get back to the car and head to state park number 2
We drive for about an hour, and actually end up at a real lake, but Randy was to cheap to pay the entrance fee so we just looked at it from the edge of the mountain. Then Randy found this "shortcut" it was this a rocky road for 14 miles at 10 mph. The last 5 miles was so scary, the road was so narrow and there was no guard rail. Randy said if another car came that they would have to go on the edge, we were not. I don't think that I have every seen Randy so nervous. The funny part was how many boarder patrol cars and cops we passed. At one point Randy said that we were only one mile from Mexico. So we finally made back home, safe and sound!!!!

"Manning up"
Scott had to have his 18 month well baby check up today. I know he is 20 months and he had his well baby at Bragg, but he couldn't get his shot. So we had to redo the 18month check up because Bragg doctors can't authorize shots at Hucuhca. So we went he is 36 pounds and 36 inches tall, which of course puts him off the charts. So we then went to get his shots, he had to get 2 and he made a small whimper and then was up running. The nurse was like wow and asked if he could have a lollipop. He wanted to make Grandpa Randy proud and "man up".

Adventures in potty training
So we (really I) had decided that we were going to wait to potty train until we got back to Bragg. Well Scott started announcing when he needed to pee and poop (usually after the fact on the poop), so we thought we would try it, no pressure. So when he has a pull up on he won't pee in them for 2 to 3 hours. Great! But I feel like I spend most of my day in the bathroom reading books to Scott sitting on the potty. So today he decides he needs to poop, so we rush the to the bathroom and yank off everything and he poops! YEAH!!!! A little later I was in the kitchen and Randy ask Scott if he needs to go to the bathroom and off they go running down the hall. Then I hear Randy yelling from the bathroom "how the hell do you get these things off?" I explained that we take the shorts and the pullup all the way off before getting on the potty. So they sit in there for awhile and then Randy yells "how long do we sit here?" Funny!
So right after dinner I hear Scott making some noises and ask if he needs to go the bathroom. We get to the bathroom and pull down his pants and pullup right as his poop comes flopping out. And to top it off he puts his foot in it, it was between his toes and everything, so gross. So now I'm yelling for Randy to come help. He comes and helps and Scott sits on the potty.
I'm thinking we got a long way to go, and am not in a hurry for him to get it.
Love ya guys!

first impressions
So today we went to a new park with some of our new friends. Well there is this clay-like stuff on the outside of the play area. They were watering the field that was next to the playground, which made wet clay. So who is the only kids that thinks this is just great. Of course Scott. So he is covered in a wet clay, don't worry it gets better. So I turn to answer someones question and I look back over at Scott and he has a big hand full of dog poop, and a big grin on his face. So we went to the bathroom and washed his hands, so gross. Just thought I would give you guys a good laugh!!!
Memorial day weekend
So we had all these great ideas of what we were going to do. Randy had a four day weekend, so Friday we went to Tuscan, we left the house with no idea of what we were going to do. We had heard that Tuscan was so much bigger than Sierra Vista (almost everything is bigger than Sierra Vista). All we had was a book on Arizona (Thanks to Dee and Al). So we found this place that was suppose to be an old western town type deal, we get there and it is dead, so we walk through it and decide its time for lunch. We hit up an old Mexican Restaurant, it was soooo good. Then we went to one of the 3 zoos that they have, it was great of course Scott loved to look at the animals. Unless we missed something I don't think that Tuscan is all that big.
Saturday we just hung out around the house. Sunday we went to Bisbee and Tombstone. I really didn't have any expectations of how this was going to go. But apparently Randy did, and it didn't meet his expectations. We went though Bisbee first, stopped at an old mining place. We wanted to go on a mining tour, but you had to wear helmet and a rain coat and sit in a trolley for an 1.5 hours, that was not going to work for Scott, so we passed. It was a cute, artsy type place. There were some neat stores, but all were small and had lot of breakables. Not a great place for Scott! So again we passed. I think we finished Bisbee in about 1 hour. So off to Tombstone we went, the were have a big festival type deal where everyone was dressed up. It was neat to see the costumes, but all the stores were the same. So we found a "kids" western show and thought that Scott would love it, it was suppose to have all kinds of animals in it. He did ok, it was not very entertaining. So we went to the petting zoo and headed home. All in all it was a pretty good day and weekend.
I will post some pictures from the weekend.(and obviosly I have not completly figured out how to do the picture thing)
